Solar water heating systems consist of two 4' x 8' solar thermal panels installed on your roof. The panels contain a copper absorber plate that transfers the sun’s heat energy to liquid anti-freeze.

A pump circulates the heated liquid anti-freeze through a copper coil heat exchanger that wraps around the 80-gallon storage tank (which we install to replace your current tank).

During clouds or rain, an electric back-up heating element in the tank automatically kicks in to keep a consistent supply of hot water.

The solar system typically provides hot water approximately 80% of the time – meaning your current expenditure on heating water will be reduced by 80%.
