Thanks to The NEED Project, Buncombe Community School East has a 1.92 kilowatt solar photovoltaic system installed by Honey Electric Solar which includes:
• 16 BP 120 watt PV modules
• One Sunnyboy 1800U Inverter that inverts high voltage DC solar
power to 120V AC grid power
• One SMA Sunny webbox that enables web monitoring
• Various mechancial/electrical parts like conduit, wire, disconnects,
and lightening arrestors

The solar panel array, visible from the ground, is installed on the school’s metal roof.
