NC GreenPower NC GreenPower is a statewide program designed to encourage the use of renewable energy in North Carolina. Their goal is to increase the amount of renewable energy projects statewide, so they frequently seek new generators. NC GreenPower offers production payments (based on kilowatt-hours generated) for grid-tied electricity generated by solar energy (learn about our grid-tied solar electric systems). The maximum premium for all new small solar electric (PV) system agreements of 10 kW or less is $0.15 per kWh generated. Participating in this program could mean an additional revenue stream of several hundred dollars per year.
